Welcome to the area!  Southlake is great.  All of the schools are top notch.  I would just watch for heavy flight path neighborhoods.  Being close to DFW you will always have planes here and there but some areas are worse than others.  Good luck

We just moved to Southlake from Flower Mound in March and absolutely love it.  All of the schools are great, and everyone has been very welcoming.  We looked at pretty much every neighborhood in Southlake and I don't think you could go wrong with any of them.  We ended up in SouthRidge Lakes and it is very quiet with lots of young families.  Good Luck!

We moved from Dallas and LOVE it!  Cambridge Place and Versailles are great, but you can't go wrong anywhere.  Good luck.  You will love it. 

 We just relocated from Massachusetts and moved to Myers Meadow.  This is one of the few neighborhoods w/ sidewalks on both side of the street plus separate walking/jogging trails.  I had a lady from another neighborhood tell me her kids are always begging them to move to our neighborhood because all of the kids are here!  The elementary for this neighborhood is Carroll.

Southlake is fantastic.  School wise, I'm partial to Old Union.  The teachers, principal and environment couldn't be better.  Great scores, fantastic atmosphere for kids and parents alike.  All the neighborhoods here have their own little flavor.  Email me if you want my thoughts on any in particular...

I see comments based on subdivisions with small kids, etc.   We're relocating to Dallas area (I'm partial to Southlake/Grapevine area based on www.greatschools.net), but wonder about a subdivision for my 15 yr old daughter.  She is in the IB/AP program here in ATL, and I really like Carroll High School/Carroll Sr High School, but wonder about a neighborhood for her.   My son will remain here in ATL, entering GA Tech in the Fall. We're looking for 4000 sq ft+, 3 car garage, pool, but with other teenaged kids around the area.  Any suggestions?  I don't think we'll arrive until July 2010.  I'd love to hear more from anyone....
